Biography
Portuguese plastic artist, Leandro Oliveira works on the border between the visible and the hidden. Through painting and glueing, it dismantles the shadow of the human being - these fragments of the unconscious that insist on coming to the surface, as traces of a buried memory.
Graduated in Audiovisual and Multimedia from the Higher School of Social Communication, he transposes a cinematographic language to the visual arts, where what is not said takes shape. He held the individual exhibitions Fragments of the Invisible (Marvila Library, 2025) and Fenda (Adácio Pestana Auditorium, 2025), in addition to integrating the collective exhibition Foz'Arte in the historic Fort of São João Baptista (2025).
His current work scrutinises what is hidden in the interstices of the psyche, transforming restlessness into matter.
